LumenTerms of Use
These terms apply to the Lumen app on every platform and to Lumen Pro. Lumen is published by João Pereira ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Lumen you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. App Store and Google Play
If you got Lumen from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and it prevails over these terms where they conflict. If you got Lumen from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your purchase.
2. What Lumen is
Lumen is a client app for media servers that you or your household run, such as Jellyfin, Overseerr, Jellyseerr, Radarr and Sonarr. Lumen doesn't provide, host, sell or license any movies, shows or other media. You need your own server, and what's on it is up to you.
Lumen is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the projects it works with, or by TMDB, whose API it uses for title information.
3. Your servers and your content
- You are responsible for your servers, the accounts on them, and having the rights to the media you store, stream, download or request.
- Don't use Lumen to infringe anyone's rights or break the law.
- Lumen depends on your servers being reachable and compatible. Features that need a particular service or version are shown only when that service is available.
4. Lumen Pro
- What it is. Lumen Pro unlocks the app. It's offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the store, in your currency, before you confirm.
- Free trial. New subscribers to the monthly or annual plan get a 7-day free trial, once per store account. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged for the first period.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, and your store account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your store account: on Apple devices in Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Lumen Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Payments are taken by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies. Request one from the store you bought from. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under consumer law.
- Lifetime. A Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment for Lumen Pro, for as long as Lumen is offered on that store, with no renewals. If you buy it while subscribed, cancel the subscription in your store account so it doesn't renew.
- Price changes. If a subscription price goes up, the store will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
- Your devices. Lumen Pro works on every device signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account. Use "Restore purchases" in the app on a new device. Purchases don't carry over between Apple and Google.
5. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lumen on devices you own or control, under these terms and the store's rules. Don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or modify the app except where the law allows it.
6. Updates and availability
We update Lumen to fix bugs, add features and keep up with the services it works with. We may change or remove features, and we may stop offering Lumen. If we stop offering it, subscriptions will stop renewing.

8. Disclaimer
Lumen is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every server, version or device. Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees that consumer law gives you and that can't be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data on your servers or devices. Our total liability for any claim about Lumen is limited to the amount you paid for Lumen Pro in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as for losses caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using Lumen at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription. We may suspend your use if you seriously break these terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app's release notes before they take effect. If you keep using Lumen after that, the new terms apply.
